Kevlar Cone
The VXT4 monitors use a specially designed, custom Kevlar cone with aluminium pole piece. This clever and very rigid design improves transient response, reduces distortion and extends low-frequency response due to the lighter, stiffer cone. The very rigid kevlar material keeps the speaker in form when moving so sound distortions and variations created by a flexing weak cone are minimised or reduced altogether. The aluminum pole piece and venter formers eliminate overheating which improves performance making the VXT4 monitors amongst the best in their class.
Custom Designed Enclosure
The KRK VXT4 monitors have been designed using a high-tech ABS Structural Foam in its cabinet. This material is very rugged and extremely impact resistant, and makes it possible for KRK engineers to create a speaker with no internal parallel walls, thereby preventing sound-coloring. This amazing material also has far better damping characteristics than traditional speaker materials which eliminates coloration caused by cabinet resonance. in combination with the rest of the VXT4s in-depth engineering, this cute 4inch monitor can pack a punch and clarity better than most bigger studio monitors.
