Features alone show the immense power of the Fantom X7 workstation. The colour screen makes for easy navigation of the powerful functions whilst the expandable memory of the X7 means the optional 544Mb can be utilised like a digital recorder to create a full audio song. Also expandable by 4 SRX cards and the PC smartmedia slot means the sound possibilities and data storage mediums are better than ever before. Fantom X new sound chip
The new Fantom X7 workstation is powered by the next generation synthesis. This means the option to access 1 Gb of waveforms when fully expanded and with new updated internal waveforms to hand it offers sound quality never heard before.
Sampling capabilities
The on-board sampler allows expansion of up to 544Mb sampling time - enough to record a song onto. It allows sampling of riffs which can then be tempo matched in realtime and assigned to the velocity pads. It offers full splitting, cut, time stretch and more with on-screen waveform editing.
Velocity Pads and Skip Back Sampling
The Fantom X7 has velocity pads and Skip back sampling. The pads allow you to trigger samples, drum loops, arpegiated riffs and more with just one touch. There are 16 pads to instantly access. The Skip back sampling then constantly records 10 seconds of audio (variable). If you play a rif you thought sounded great and forgot what you played then this means you can press skip back sampling and listen to the last 10 seconds of audio you played!! Lever loose a riff agin.
Sequencing
The Fantom X7 workstation allows up 400,000 note recording capacity. This MIDI information can be stored along with audio data to create a full blown masterpiece with tempo synchronisation. You may never need another piece of equipment!!
