The staggering 160Mb of waveforms is the source of the 1,344 programs and 1,280 combinations in the Korg Triton Extreme synthesizer. Whilst 2 tone generators are used to create the 120 note polyphony sounds the new valve force Technology on the Triton allows a warmth of sound never heard in a synthesizer. The Dual Polyphonic arpeggiators combined with that mentioned makes the sound in a world of it's own.
Twin USB A and B ports mean you can connect to the computer for MIDI transfer of data whilst also using an optional CD/RW, Hard disk or other medium for storage or loading data.
The Triton Extreme range also offers card storage medium with optional flash and microdrive cards so you can store all your own data on a compact card. Samples, songs and allow work done on the Triton Extreme can be stored on these cards.
Multimode resonant filters, on screen waveform editing, LFO with MIDI synchronization, envelope generators for each stage of sound shaping (FEG, AEG, PEG), velocity layering with zone control and more... The capabilities are endless on the Triton Extreme.
Sampling power for all
As you may expect the Triton Extreme range offers superior sampling capabilities. Compatible with Wav, Akai files and Aiff the sampling is taken to another level. All internal FX can be applied to samples and re-sampled with the FX in the sound! There is a possible 1000 samples that can be loaded into the Triton Extreme at the same time with full on screen wave editing. The Time Slice function means any sampled drum loop can be automatically split into different segments and played like a drum kit on the keys whilst at the same time automatically assigned to a track in the sequencer. Because it splits the samples you can select any tempo and listen to the sampled drum loop speed up and slow down without pitch change! It rivals if not out-does the best of samplers on the market to date.
The TRITON Extreme contains a 200 song / 200,000 note (maximum) 16-track sequencer. Besides being able to record your keyboard playing, you can also record the performances generated by the arpeggiator and RPPR (Realtime Pattern Play/Recording) function.
The sequencer provides features such as template songs and independent play looping for each track, helping you record and create your songs smoothly and easily. In addition to recording MIDI on the tracks, you can record and edit patterns, and copy your own patterns or preset patterns to tracks or use them with the RPPR function.
You can begin sequencing from a variety of modes. The Auto Song Setup function automatically applies the settings of a program or combination to a song; if you're playing a program or combination when inspiration strikes, you can use this function to move to Sequencer mode instantly without forgetting your phrase or song idea. The TRITON Extreme's Open Sampling System lets you sample while in the Sequencer mode.
Using In-Track Sampling, you can sample directly into the sequencer as it plays, adding vocal phrases, guitar licks and other audio elements to your song. The sequencer will automatically create the appropriate note data in the track to trigger the sample at the right moment. Using the Tone Adjust parameter function, sounds can be edited on a sequence track without affecting the original program, giving you unprecedented control over your arrangements.
you can use the Cue List to specify the playback order of your sequenced songs to easily build up a song from smaller sections, and to automatically play multiple songs consecutively. Sequence data you create can be saved in SMF Formats 0 or 1. You can re-sample these completed songs as Wave files, and create an audio CD by connecting a CD-R/RW drive to the USB A port.
